Dr. Erin Norcross
Dr. Erin Norcross grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland and attended the University of Maryland where she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry. She decided to go to dental school because she has always loved Art and Science, and wanted a career that combined the two in a way that helped other people. She attended the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where she received high marks in esthetic related courses and was inducted into the Prosthodontic Honors Society Gamma Pi Delta. She also was elected President of the American Association of Women Dentists, an organization that supports young women in dentistry by providing mentors and tutoring resources. She is very passionate about community service, and was voted “Most Likely to Stop and Help Another Student in Clinic” by her fellow classmates. After dental school, Dr. Erin spent two years continuing her education at York Wellspan Hospital in its General Practice Residency Program. There, she expanded her knowledge of general dentistry and learned how to manage emergency dental situations, receiving additional training in implant placement, root canals, and surgical extractions. During her second year of residency she was the Chief Dental Resident, where she helped teach other residents dental procedures and participated in THRIVE, a community outreach program that encourages inner city kids to consider a healthcare profession.
In addition to dentistry and community service, Dr. Erin enjoys the great outdoors! She loves biking, hiking, and stand-up paddle boarding. She has run two half marathons and is considering running a full one. She is very close to her family, and enjoys spoiling her nieces and nephew. She enjoys cooking and baking, and runs a food blog called “the bite-cuspid.”
